If you are seeing this post from the FB/IG ad about plantar fasciitis- Shockwave Therapy is typically something we use when plantar fasciitis is chronic and you have tried the normal therapies. Most of the standard therapies can be submitted to insurance depending on your plan. If there’s a cost question don’t hesitate to reach out and we can give you specific based on your plan and situation.

Shockwave Therapy has emerged as a excellent treatment option for various injuries and pain conditions, offering pain reduction and accelerated healing. As research in this field continues to advance, shockwave therapy is gaining traction in mainstream musculoskeletal care as well as professional and university sports medicine facilities.

This includes Mayo Clinic, Harvard sports medicine as noted below and the athletic training facilities of the Green Bay Packers.

Shockwave Therapy has been proven to help with these conditions:

Over the years, I've closely followed the evolution of shockwave therapy research. Notably, Dr. Adam Tenforde, Co-Director for Harvard Sports Medicine and Running Medicine courses at Harvard Medical School, has been instrumental in shaping best practice guidelines for this innovative therapy. In his paper, Dr. Tenforde delves into the proposed mechanisms, contraindications, and clinical applications of shockwave therapy, providing invaluable insights for practitioners and patients. Additionally, his podcast on the British Journal of Sports Medicine offers in-depth education on this topic. Personally, I reached out to Dr. Tenforde after listening to his podcast, and his guidance has been pivotal in our practice.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “For well over 10 years, my left shoulder ached every day, with occasional really painful flare-ups. This year, based on an endorsement from a family member, I made an appointment with Dr. Alex. He examined me and recommended Shockwave therapy. I had six Shockwave sessions with Trina, and am delighted at the improvement in my shoulder. Most days, I’m able to forget I ever had a problem. Thank you!!” - David

Shockwave Therapy – Cost & Details

The first visit is $135. Follow up sessions are $75, with most treatment plans consisting of 6 sessions spaced one week apart. Along with the therapy, you’ll receive personalized rehabilitation strategies to help maximize results. Additionally, we are coupling shockwave therapy with high intensity laser therapy which is another modality with excellent research and results for these specific conditions.

If you search online for shockwave therapy costs, you’ll see that our pricing is highly competitive compared to other providers. We’ve seen excellent results with this treatment for difficult-to-treat conditions and want to make it accessible to our community.

Please note that most insurance plans do not cover shockwave therapy, as it is considered experimental. There are a couple plans that we can submit for a portion of the visit which can decrease the cost.
