In this video, clinician and researcher Ann Cools has an excellent presentation on the importance of shoulder blade/scapular rehabilitation for shoulder problems. It’s primarily for clinicians but I wanted to share a specific take-home that can be helpful for individuals.

TIP: When working on shoulder rehabilitation, utilizing a diagonal pattern type of a exercise(above) or a unilateral exercise(below) demonstrates better activation of specific shoulder girdle.
